The Leah Ellis Memorial Wrapping Party
Our annual Wrapping Party will now be called The Leah Ellis Memorial Wrapping Party in memory of Leah Ellis, whose kindness, generosity, and radiant spirit touched so many lives.
Leah was a shining light in our community, bringing joy to everything she did, especially her beloved Caring For Children Holiday Effort. She looked forward to the Wrapping Party each year, embracing the chance to spread holiday cheer and eagerly anticipating the laughter and togetherness shared with her family as they delivered gifts for those in need. The event was a highlight of her holiday season, filling her heart with joy as she helped bring smiles to countless children.
By renaming the Wrapping Party in her honor, we celebrate Leah’s legacy of love, giving, and the beautiful way she made the world a better place.
Wrapping Party Details
Our 29th Wrapping Party will be on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 12 pm to 4 pm at the Lexington Field House on the campus of Lexington High, 251 Waltham Street, Lexington, MA. This is a fantastic event for the whole family, as it involves wrapping, socializing, and providing fun activities for the kids. Given the success of the last 28 years, we are hoping to get as many people as possible to attend and celebrate the tremendous efforts of so many.
Wrapping Instructions
Each child has a unique “code” number, which is extremely important for tracking and delivering gifts. Please make sure that the child’s individual code is on all wrapped gifts.

Volunteers Needed
Are you a High School student who is looking for some community service hours? Caring for Children needs 10 student volunteers at our Wrapping Party on Sunday, December 14th, from 11:30 am to 4 pm at the Lexington High School Field House. Your role entails greeting sponsors when they arrive with their bags of gifts, bringing the bags into the Field House, and helping the sponsors check-in with the Caring for Children Staff.
