Kicking Off Our 27th Annual Holiday Effort
Hello Friends and Family,
Welcome to our 27th Annual Frank and Rosemary Iovieno Caring for Children Holiday Effort for 2023!
Last year’s 26th Holiday Effort was a huge success for the Caring for Children organization as we helped over 800+ children. We have never eclipsed 800 children before, so this was a monumental and memorable effort that we take great pride in.
We would like to once again send out a huge thanks to the participation and generosity of thousands of sponsors (corporate and individual sponsorship) for enabling Caring for Children to achieve such a milestone effort. The children we support have life-threatening and/or life-limiting illnesses (siblings included) and live throughout Massachusetts and upstate New York.
We are hoping to help more children this year. Below you will learn about the many ways you can participate in the Holiday Effort and the details for our annual Wrapping Party on December 10th. Attending the Wrapping Party is NOT a requirement for participation as alternative plans can be made for delivering or mailing gifts.
Just a note… if you’d like to Sponsor A Child and be matched by Thanksgiving, kindly register by Sunday, November 19th.
On behalf of our organization, I would like to thank you for supporting our organization as we continue to work toward helping children and their families in-need, and we look forward to seeing your registration and participation in this year’s Holiday Effort.
Sincerely,
John

You can now register for our 27th Holiday Effort! There are four ways you can help.
- Sponsor A Child: Our most popular option, you or together with a group, can sponsor one or more children with clothing and gifts.
- Monetary Donation: Money will be used to provide for basic needs for these children and their families during the holidays and throughout the year.
- Gift Card Donation: We appreciate any type of gift card, but clothing and food store gift cards will meet our most urgent needs.
- Sponsor a Gift Basket: For those who want to help a child in need but have constraints on the amount of time to shop for a child.
We are happy to announce that this year’s Wrapping Party will be held on Sunday, December 10th, from 12pm to 4pm at the Lexington Field House on the campus of Lexington High, 251 Waltham Street, Lexington, MA. Attendance at the Wrapping Party is not a requirement for participation as alternative plans for delivering the gifts can be made. All gifts have to be dropped off by 3 PM to allow for registering and distributing the gifts properly.
This is a fantastic event for the whole family for wrapping presents, socializing, and providing fun activities for the kids. And for you football fans, there is no Patriot game that day as they are playing the Steelers on Thursday Night Football. Please visit our Wrapping page for present wrapping/tagging instructions and event updates as we gear up for a fun day for the whole family.
