At the University of Rochester’s Class of 1990 35th Reunion, more than 90 alumni gathered to reconnect and celebrate. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 35th Reunion Achievement Award to our founder, John Iovieno, who received a standing ovation from classmates as hosts Rita Butzer Carpenter and Jodi R. R. Smith presented the honor.

John was recognized for nearly three decades of unwavering dedication to the Frank and Rosemary Iovieno Caring for Children Foundation, which he created to provide vital support to families with children facing serious and life-limiting illnesses. In his heartfelt acceptance speech, John expressed profound gratitude to those who have supported the foundation’s mission over the years.

We are so proud of John for this well-deserved recognition and thank the Class of 1990 for celebrating his remarkable commitment to caring for children and their families.
